Quasi Puzzle ("we", "us", "the site") is a free browser game operated by TiSch at quasipuzzle.com. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. This policy covers the game and the pages on this website.

Information we collect

1. Settings and progress stored on your device

The game saves your preferences and progress — things like your chosen options, colour skin, current puzzle, daily streak and the solutions you've discovered — using your browser's local storage. This information stays on your own device. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

2. Optional leaderboard

The online leaderboard is strictly opt-in. If you choose to turn it on, the game sends a randomly generated, anonymous player identifier, the nickname you enter, and your game statistics (such as best time, number of moves and number of unique solutions found) to our server so your entry can be ranked. You are never asked for your name, email address or any other identifying detail, and you can leave the leaderboard at any time. To have an existing entry removed, email us at the address below.

3. Server logs

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when the site is accessed — for example IP address, browser type, and the date and time of the request. These logs are used to operate and secure the site and are not used to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service, to help support the site. When advertising is active, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information — for example through the leaderboard — please contact us and we will remove it.

Data security and retention

We keep the small amount of data we do receive (leaderboard entries and standard server logs) only as long as needed for the purposes described above, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

• Local data: clear your browser's data for this site to erase saved settings and progress.
• Leaderboard: simply don't opt in, or email us to remove an existing entry.
• Ads: use the opt-out links above to limit personalised advertising.

This policy applies only to quasipuzzle.com. Pages we link to (such as the reference links elsewhere on this site) have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here.
